$10/session

Summer Book Club is open to those who have completed 3rd-5th grade. We will read a novel (or two) independently and meet for discussion and activities each week. Participants get to vote on the books we are going to read before the first session. In addition to the weekly fee, you will also need to buy a copy of the book/books. Weekly attendance is not required but we know when you are in town, you won’t want to miss it!

Summer Camps

Whether you are interested in helping your child maintain their reading skills over the summer or wanting to give them that extra push to improve or learn a new skill, our summer camps are just what you need.  We are passionate about inspiring lifelong readers and learners because we know that the best readers are the ones who enjoy reading.  All camps will include:

  • Weekly themes with lots of reading, writing, discussion, and multi-sensory letter play that engage students in their own learning!
  • Literature-based activities including games, storytelling, and crafts with hands-on materials to expand reading and language skills.
  • Opportunities to develop links between reading and writing with responses to literature, while gaining confidence and enhancing skills.
  • Small groups (maximum of 10 campers) to provide individualized attention and instruction.
  • Camp leaders who are degreed, certified, current, or former classroom teachers with experience educating children of all levels and abilities

2026 Summer Camp Information

  • Camps run Monday-Friday, 9am-noon
  • Extended Session is offered noon-2:30pm
  • A snack is provided each day, extended day campers bring their own lunch
  • Age Requirements:
    • Pre-School Camp: 3 years (must be potty trained) -TK
    • Elementary Camps: rising 1st-5th grades

A little more about Extended Session….

Extended session is available each week for our campers. Send a lunch with your child and have them stay for additional reading, crafts and literacy games. Extended session is noon-2:30pm for an additional $125/week (that’s just $25/day!)

Tuition and fees

Early Bird Rates before March 1st:

  • $50 deposit per camp required to hold a spot for your child (will be applied to your camp tuition)
  • 2026 tuition is $260 per camp ($160 per mini-camp) with balance due by March 1
  • Extended Session – additional $125 per week
  • 10% discount available for siblings and multi-camp registrations
  • No refunds after June 1

After March 1st:

Camp size is limited, so advanced registration and payment are required.

Pre-school Camps

June 2-4:  Almost Summer Minicamp (3 days)

When preschool is out but elementary school is still in session, join us for three days of literature-based activities, games, storytelling, and hands on learning all with a summer theme.

June 22-26:  Things that Move

A week of building early reading and language skills while exploring vehicles like planes, trains, cars and construction equipment.

June 29-July 3: Reading in the USA

As we get ready to celebrate the Fourth of July, we will explore famous U.S. landmarks and learn about the symbols of our country.

July 6-10:  Medieval Magic

Spend a week in a mystical land filled with castles, knights, maidens, dragons and unicorns. This adventure will be filled with quests involving reading, writing and hands on literacy activities.

July 13 – 17:  N/A

No pre-school camp offered this week.

July 20-24:  Bug Basics

Come join this hands-on adventure where stories, sounds and early reading skills will come to life through the world of insects.

July 27-31:  Countdown to Kindergarten, Week 1

A summer tradition!  Young learners will be prepared for preschool/kindergarten with this engaging camp that focuses on literacy and math skills needed to be ready for the first day of kindergarten.  Please remember to specify which week when registering.

August 3-7:  Alphabet Island

A week where campers will reinforce letter identification and sounds while also exploring how letter sounds blend together to make words. It will be a wonderful week of fun and learning in an island themed setting.

August 10-14:  Countdown to Kindergarten, Week 2

A summer tradition!  Young learners will be prepared for preschool/kindergarten with this engaging camp that focuses on literacy and math skills needed to be ready for the first day of kindergarten.  Please remember to specify which week when registering.

Elementary Camps

June 22-26-Sensational Superheroes

Spiderman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Supergirl-so many superheroes to read about!  This week will be power packed with activities to support reading fluency, comprehension, and writing. Campers will also have a chance to create their own superhero!

June 29-July 3 Reading in the USA

As we get ready to celebrate the Fourth of July, we will explore famous U.S. landmarks and learn about the symbols of our country.

July 13-17 Fun with Phonics (Rising 1st and 2nd graders)

Who says Orton-Gillingham can’t be fun?  This camp is designed for those who may struggle with reading and need targeted decoding and spelling reinforcement. Each day will feature a new theme where they will use a variety of multi-sensory tools to keep word attack skills sharp!  Please note that this week is limited to rising 1st and 2nd graders.  Due to the popularity of this program, we will be offering two camp sessions in the same week!

July 20-24: Arachnids, Insects, and Reptiles-Oh my!

This camp will combine science and literacy as campers explore the amazing world of “creepy crawlies” through informational texts, guided reading, writing activities and interactive projects.

July 27-31: Back to School, Bootcamp Week 1

One of our most popular camps!  Each day is filled with reading, writing and literacy activities that will help your camper recharge and re-boot the concepts and skills needed for the new school year. It Is a proven way to start the new school year off right! Please specify which week when registering.

August 3-7:  Fun with Phonics (rising 3rd and 4th graders)

I was lucky enough not to face any required summer reading lists until I went to college. So I still think of summer as the best time to read for fun.
